The Global Data Spaces Connect 2024 event, held on November 13, 2024, in Vienna, focused on “Unlocking innovation, accelerating business” through data spaces. Organized by the Data Intelligence Offensive (DIO) in collaboration with the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) and the iSHARE Foundation, the event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and technology innovators.
Key themes included the latest trends and technologies in data spaces, impactful use cases, and policy and regulation regarding data sharing. The event featured keynote speeches, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities, emphasizing the economic benefits of sovereign data sharing and the role of innovation in driving the data economy forward.
Mike de Roode, Founding Partner Novatrust, participated in the session Provider’s View: How to realize data spaces. The session was hosted by the International Data Spaces Association and included contributions from the World Bank, Sovity, and VTT.
